Feature | Flexible identifier matching for attribute imports

Seamless data integration is the backbone of an effective e-commerce setup, yet enriching product attributes has historically required aligning incoming feed data with the internal Tweakwise ID. For many digital and data teams, extracting or mapping to this internal system identifier created unnecessary technical overhead, friction, and delays when integrating external data sources, ERPs, or PIM systems.

To eliminate this bottleneck, we are excited to introduce flexible Identifier attribute matching within the External Attribute Import job. You can now choose any unique attribute, such as SKU, EAN or GTIN, directly as your matching key to pair feed records with your existing catalog. If no custom identifier is specified, the import job seamlessly defaults to matching on the articlenumber/ID, preserving legacy workflows while granting total flexibility for new integrations.

This architectural enhancement delivers a boost to operational efficiency and onboarding speed. By allowing your teams to map external attribute imports directly to the native product identifiers already used across your tech stack, we remove the need for custom middleware or tedious translation scripts.
