Feature | Boost & Bury enhancements

Building on the initial release of the Boost & Bury module which brought campaign-level commercial steering on top of core sorting logic, we are now rolling out two major strategic upgrades designed to target precision. While the original release gave teams direct control over broad product ranking, managing fast-moving promotional calendars and multi-market catalogs required greater flexibility and finer control. This release elevates Boost & Bury from a standard rule builder into an adaptive, context-aware merchandising engine.

Saving as Boost-rules as a draft

To streamline daily campaign management, users can now directly disable Boost & Bury rules straight from the detail page. This unlocks a true drafting and staging workflow, enabling merchandisers to build rules as concepts ahead of launch, execute instant troubleshooting, or safely pause high-impact seasonal rules to reuse next year without rebuilding from scratch. By eliminating the friction of deleting and re-creating logic, teams gain immediate operational toggles for both temporary promotions and evergreen commercial strategies.

Optional category-specific filtering

Furthermore, we have overhauled rule setup by introducing a modular trigger-style config that replaces separate page-level checks with combined search and category triggers. You can now apply search-term triggers with optional category-specific filtering, enabling more control over product visibility within localized catalog trees. For example, you can boost the color 'orange' for the search phrase 'Kingsday' restricted exclusively to the Netherlands root category, without unintentionally distorting search results in your UK storefront.
