Feature | Test a Search Funnel in draft mode

Optimizing search relevance often requires tweaking weights, reordering the funnel, or testing new business rules. For that reason, we are happy to introduce Draft Mode for Search Funnels. It allows you to test, fine-tune, and validate changes without impacting your live storefront or shopper experience. Previously, validating these changes required publishing them live and estimating their impact blindly. Now you get a risk-free sandbox to experiment with search behavior and instantly see the results before hitting production.

Publish as a draft

You can now mark any search algorithm as draft upon publishing. The algorithm is bypassed during standard storefront search requests, ensuring zero impact on your users. Although bypassed by default, the draft configuration is fully available in the background and can be targeted specifically for testing. We have integrated this directly into the Demoshop Toolbox. Within the Demoshop, you can inspect all published algorithms, including those set to draft.

• Toggle Draft Algorithms: Turn draft algorithms on or off to analyze their specific impact on search results.
• Adjust Weighting: Fine-tune algorithm weights on the fly to observe ranking shifts.
• Modify Continue/Stop Logic: Test whether a funnel should continue to the next algorithm or halt execution based on result thresholds.

Draft Mode empowers your team to deploy search algorithm changes with more confidence. By allowing you to simulate and validate the impact of new weighting rules or funnel logic in the Demoshop before going live, you eliminate the risk of revenue-impacting errors while cutting the time to market for search optimizations in half. Draft mode for Search Funnels is now available to all Tweakwise users in the Tweakwise App and Demoshop Toolbox, only when using the Weighted Search Algorithms.
