Providing Context to Our AI Features
To maximize the accuracy of Tweakwise's AI features, you need to provide the system with a clear understanding of your webshop. You do this by configuring the Shop Context. By defining your product catalog and target audience, you allow our AI models to be more relevant to your shop.
This guide explains how to define your shop context in the Tweakwise App and provides a prompt template you can use to generate the perfect context description using external LLMs.
Instruction: Setting Up Your Shop Context
Follow these steps to add your shop context to your environment:
- Log in to the Tweakwise App.
- Navigate to Settings → Storefront AI context.
- Enter a concise, factual description of your store, focusing on your product catalog and target demographic.
- Click Save to apply the context across your AI-driven endpoints.
Once saved, this context acts as a system prompt for our internal AI models when generating data for endpoints like Vector Search.
Generating Your Context (AI Prompt)
If you are struggling to write a dense, effective summary, use an external LLM (like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) to generate it for you.
Copy and paste the prompt below into your preferred AI tool, filling in the bracketed variables:
Prompt:
"I am configuring the AI features for my e-commerce store. The AI needs a 'shop context' to understand my business, products, and target audience to optimize search results and recommendations. Here is the information about my store:
- Store Name: [Your Store Name]
- Main Product Categories: [e.g., Outdoor apparel, camping gear, hiking boots]
- Target Audience: [e.g., Outdoor enthusiasts, amateur hikers, budget-conscious families]
- Brand Tone/Niche: [e.g., Focus on sustainability and high durability]
Please write a concise, dense paragraph (maximum 100 words) summarizing this context. Focus purely on factual descriptors of the catalog and the audience. Do not use marketing fluff."
Copy the resulting output and paste it directly into the Shop Context field in Tweakwise.
Important Considerations
- Keep it concise: Avoid long, rambling sentences. Focus strictly on keywords, categories, and demographic identifiers.
- Keep it static: Do not include seasonal sales, temporary promotions, or pricing strategies. This field is for your core business identity.
- Update on catalog shifts: If you expand into entirely new product lines (e.g., a hardware store adding a garden center), update your shop context so the AI understands the expanded inventory scope.
FAQ
Does changing the shop context immediately affect search results?
For real-time AI endpoints, the updated context is applied immediately. For pre-calculated features (like synonym generation, AI Search), you need to trigger a new publish task before changes propagate to your front end. Some features have a weekly training cycle and can take longer.
Is there a character limit for the shop context?
Keep your context under 500 characters. Passing excessively large context strings consumes unnecessary credits and can lead to latency or timeouts on the underlying AI models.
How does the shop context interact with my product feed?
The shop context functions as a metadata layer; it does not replace the specific attributes in your feed. It provides overarching meaning, helping the AI understand the relationship between your products. For example, it helps the AI understand that a "tent" in an "outdoor store context" is for camping, whereas in an "event supply context" it is a party marquee.
